Assignment #4 – Athletic Apparel Commercial Assignment

Part I.

• Find a subject and scout for the still and multimedia shoot.
• Come in with a storyboard for the multimedia and shots of locations. (This is mandatory).
• Compile and complete production docs (schedule, crew roster, estimate, shot list, equipment inventory)
• Prepare for production presentation (DRM and PC) – Remember that there are two DRMs for these final two assignments.One is for the multimedia shoot and the other for the still shoot. In your production book, please indicate which DRM is responsible for which part of the assignment.

Part II.

• Write 3 multiple answer questions based on reading material (see below).
• Write a blog entry on what has been the most challenging aspects of taking this class and how you resolved or worked through those issues.

Part I: Music Management Photo Assignment

• Amend docs based on comments in class today (estimate, schedule, equipment list, etc)
• Shoot and edit images and submit images on USB disk w/delivery memo.
• Submit licensing agreement with the band for the use of the images you’ve provided. (DRM)

Part II: 

• Write a blog entry on what you have learned as a result of playing the role of DRM, PC and crew. Provide examples from the previous shoots in your descriptions.  What have you liked best and least in each of these roles?
• Write 3 multiple answer questions based on the article listed below. Include four possible answers and please indicate which is the correct answer.

• Be thorough with the estimate especially with the Chicago-end of the project
• Prepare for production presentation (DRM and PC)

• Write a blog entry on working on the estimate for this next assignment.

Week #8 – The Editing Process

Assignment #3 – AARP Multimedia

Part I

• Submit completed multimedia project on USB (Quicktime Movie) + make sure to include a title and the photographers website URL in the completed video.
• Upload the completed video to a YouTube or Vimeo account.
• Submit Project bible and include final invoice, delivery memo and project assessment. (DRM)
• Include a project assessment of your work and that of the team (DRM)

Part II

• Submit a blog entry speaking about your experience working on this multimedia project. Share on what went right and what you would improve on for the next assignment.
• Write 3 multiple answer questions based on the reading assignment (see below).
• Run the Cost of Business Calculator based on 100 and 50 billable days.

Part III

• Submit your take-home mid-term.

Reading Assignment:

• The DSLRs Filmmakers Workflow
